NewPossibilOTs began in response to a need identified by Lisa Hughes, founder of Sydney-based Occupational Therapy Helping Children.
Lisa was one of the early pioneers in the field of paediatrics and OT, having completed extensive postgraduate training. Over the last 30 years, she’s developed an unrivalled depth of expertise in supporting children and families to embrace life’s opportunities.
But running an OT practice isn’t only about supporting clients. A great deal of it is about equipping your team by developing their competence and confidence.
NewPossibilOTs meets the need for practical, encouraging training that’s relevant to real-world practice. Originally an initiative of Occupational Therapy Helping Children, it began as a podcast then expanded to include training courses. Now, NewPossibilOTs has launched as an independent business serving the needs of OT professionals at different career stages.
Over the last 3 decades, Lisa has supported countless OTs to build a fulfilling career in paediatrics, including students on placements, early career professionals and parents returning to the workforce. Her hard-won, practical insights have enabled many OTs to build rewarding and fulfilling careers.
