About the team

The team at Occupational Therapy Helping Children (OTHC) is made up of more than 15 dedicated professionals—including occupational therapists, administrative staff, allied health assistants, and even a therapy dog (Pretzel) —who bring a wealth of experience to NewPossibilOTs.

With nearly 30 years of service on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, their expertise spans diverse environments—from one-on-one clinic sessions to in-school interventions and community-based programs. The team’s longevity and breadth of practice reflect deep-rooted connections to local families and schools, creating a foundation of trust and insight that enriches their teaching and resource development.

Collaborating closely with Lisa Hughes, this robust team channels its hands-on clinical experience into the creation of practical, practice-based courses and resources—designed specifically for new OT graduates and those re-entering the workforce.

Their real-world understanding of working in clinics, schools, and community settings informs every aspect of NewPossibilOTs curriculum design, ensuring that emerging professionals gain skills grounded in authentic therapeutic practice.
